Broadway Center was designed during the apogee of the
Hamra Street, when it was considered as one of the most expensive business
and shopping area in the world.
Built on a small
corner plot, its volume was accentuated through the proportion of the
curtain wall and high quality building materials, creating an attractive
focal point.
The open L-shaped masses provided maximum perimeter for
offices overlooking the busy street below, while shopping windows,
sidewalk café and cinema entrances were right on sidewalk and their
commercial value was maximized.
